I'm a clinical psychologist (Master of Science) from the University of Jena, Germany. My qualifications have been recognised by the Danish Board of Psychologists, which means that my studies are equivalent to the Danish psychology education (cand.psych.). I am also a Licensed Psychotherapist, specialising in behavioural therapy for adults through the Institute of the German Society for Behavioural Therapy (DGVT) in Bonn, Germany.

I offer individual therapy either in my practice in Silkeborg or online if your home is too far away. As I'm still working on my Danish language skills, I primarily offer therapy in English or German. I understand and speak Danish quite well, so you are of course also welcome as a Dane if you are comfortable with some English mixed in as well.

In addition to classic behavioural therapy, I enjoy working in depth with experiential and emotion-oriented techniques, for example from schema therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), as well as with various mindfulness and relaxation exercises.

It is often the first, most difficult step to ask for help. I believe this shows strength and the will to change. In psychotherapy, we will work together to get to the root of the difficulties you are experiencing, reactivate your strengths and resources and find ways towards positive change. It is important to me to create a safe, confidential space so you can work on even the most difficult issues and gain new, healing experiences and insights about yourself, your feelings and your life story. I will support you in finding a better way of dealing with your mental illness and ultimately finding your way to a new, healthy self. I will always try to organise the treatment in a way that best suits you and your therapy goals.
